Kamieskroon, the soul of Namaqualand is situated 67km south of Springbok and 47km north of Garies making it the ideal location for tourists and explorers to this area as it is central and has flower routes within a 60km radius into all directions. Experience a semi-desert region transforming into a rainbow-colored carpetry of flowers.
Accommodation
Kamieskroon Cosy Cottage has two separate units that sleep 4 persons each (including the double-bed sleeper couch). Both units have are fairly spacious, comfortable, clean and cosy with fireplaces in both. Units are situated in a quiet area with lovely views of both ‘Sneeukop’ and ‘Boesmankop’ and a section of the Kamiesberg Mountain range.
Activities
As Kamieskroon is surrounded by the various mountains and hill tops of the Kamieskroon mountain range there is an array of Mountain biking and hiking routes in the area. An Annual horse-riding tour in the flower season is also a sought-after venture as well as a coastal ‘donkey route’.
The room was quiet, spacious and very comfortable. The food was superb. It was a quite charming stay.
